Pneumatic Gun Hammers

Pneumatic gun hammers, aka pneumatic nail guns, are tools used most often, in residential housing and commercial construction. Pneumatic nail guns, run off compressed air. They are linked to either a gas or electric air compressor, by means of high pressure air hoses. Compressors can be either gas or electric, stationary or portable.

They use the same type of system to work as the compressor, that supplies the air. A large piston inside the head, slides up and down. It in turn, drives a steel blade downward, into a clip of nails or staples, attached to the gun, and into the material. A trigger on the pneumatic nail gun, allows the user to control the amount of nails, forced from the tip. When nails are used up, a new clip of nails is inserted into a spring loaded mechanism.
